Stitches - Carrington Fleet and John Kaldor will be showing at the Stitches exhibition in February at the NEC Birmingham (Oct 09) Textile Forum - Carrington Fleet along with John Kaldor (Retail) will be showing at the Textile Forum in London. The show dates are the 21st-22nd October (Sept 09) John Kaldor - Carrington Fleet have acquired the licensing and distribution rights for John Kaldor (Retail fabrics). All John Kaldor Retail Fabrics will continue to be designed in the world renowed London showroom ensuring the strength of the distinctive John Kaldor handwriting is maintained. All fabrics will now be stocked and distributed from Carrington Fleet's warehouse facility in Bolton. The next range of Kaldor prints will be launched in September with the spring 2010 range being available to view from October. (Oct 08) Lace and Appliques Book - Following the successful launch of our lace and appliques ranges we are a book to show these products. The new book based on our established bridal and grooms books will show in lifesize colour photographically all our lace and appliques ranges. (Mar 08) Carrington-Fleet ownership - The ownership of Carrington-Fleet has recently changed with Robert Moyle acquiring the company in July 2007 from long-term owner and founder of the Carrington Bride and Carrington Groom brands Stephen Bleakley. Robert comes from a long established textile background and was previously procurement director at Simon Jersey Ltd one of the UK's premier corporate clothing supplier. Robert says "I am really excited about the acquisition, this is a long established, well run and innovative company with scope for development and expansion", he adds, "we have an adventurous development plan starting with the re launch of our web site and the facility for our customers to view and purchase our full range on-line". The outgoing owner Stephen Bleakley who is continuing to work during a handover period adds, "I am delighted to be handing over the company to Robert, who I am sure will continue the companies tradition of putting customers first and ensuring you receive the second to none service for which we are renowned". I am especially pleased that it is Robert's intention to take the company forward with our existing loyal team as a family run independent business where he can build on the solid foundations that have been laid over many years". The rest of the management team at Carrington-Fleet remains unchanged. (Oct 07) Unlikely uses for bridal and grooms fabrics - Waiters waistcoats on a cruise liner, jockeys silks and cushion covers are just some of the unexpected end uses for the Carrington Bride and Carrington Groom fabric ranges.
